Great week, tuesday night we had an awesome dinner appointment, we bore our testimonies and it was powerful.  wednesday we did lots of biking around and Elder Parkers bike pedal kept falling off (he uses the same bike my trainer used). Later that day w ehad 2 great lessons. Everyone we teach, the members, and our misison president love our companionship, me and Elder Parker are practically brothers. We even burp at the same time.  thursday we had inspections then we worked on our video were making about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Had a good dinner with some people who dont usually come to church and we had a great lesson using salt, pepper and a spoon.  Friday we had a great district council. Then we worked more on our video. Then we had a good dinner, a lady told me part of the reason she hasnt left the church is because she liked me as a missionary haha, little strange. Then w evisited a friend of ours who doesnt usually come to church and he gave us $20. Then we...

We just ate a good lunch here at Buffalo wild wings, and explored the capital a little bit.  Downtown Boise is always interesting.  Its been an awesome week. Me and Elder Parker get along super well so it makes it a blast.  We have found the nice median of having one of the most joyful times of our life but also following the Holy Ghost and getting things done.  Monday we had played chair soccer with our district and had a pizza delivered to us by a church member which was great. We had a good lesson with a kid who is 8 thats getting baptized soon.  Tuesday we had interviews with our misison president, our mission president is a great man, but he scared me at first because he started with "Elder Jensen, I read your letter to me and it seems like you dont have a care in the world....about anything that would stop you from getting the work done and finding joy!".  We got back on bikes since Tuesday too since it got warmer and thats been fun. At one p...

Staying in Amity, training, auoras, baptism!

It has been quite the week for me out here in Boise.  From monday to wednesday I was with some awesome elders in another area and we switched off working in our different areas, and we got to drive around in there car which was nice. Im used to walking in the cold so a car is luxury haha.  We got a mission conference phone call (whole mission on one call) and our boundaries are getting changed July 1st along with our mission president. Whole mission is pretty much moving west to Nampa, and the nampa mission is getting dissolved.  On my last night with the trio we met a member of the church who "read our auoras". Its something thats hard to explain but it happened and it was very very deep and spiritual.  I found out im staying in amity (so ill be here 6 months in a few weeks) and im training a newish Elder from Canada. We get along real well and have a joyful time.  Saturday I had the priviledge of being able to baptize 2 people I taught in my last are...

Christmas, Temporary Trio

Image
Its been quite the week. So we had a good christmas Tuesday and I got to call the family which was great. Ate a bunch of food and we caroled with some other missionaries that night too which was fun. Nothing much happened from Christmas to Thursday.  Elder Allen finished his mission and left this morning, then as of last night I joined some other missionaries to make a trio. So Im not even in my area but Im in another one, so its pretty interesting.  I also talked in Church yesterday about the Atonement (The mission Christ had in paying for our sins and making it possible to live with our Father in Heaven again) and that was pretty great. Ive realized I love talking about the gospel with pretty much anyone.  The mission is the life, Its super joyful. It can be tough at times but its worth it. Love you all, Follow our savior, stay positive!
