Biking, Auoras, Baptist, Amazing lessons
We just ate a good lunch here at Buffalo wild wings, and explored the capital a little bit.
Downtown Boise is always interesting. Its been an awesome week. Me and Elder Parker get along super well so it makes it a blast.
We have found the nice median of having one of the most joyful times of our life but also following the Holy Ghost and getting things done.
Monday we had played chair soccer with our district and had a pizza delivered to us by a church member which was great. We had a good lesson with a kid who is 8 thats getting baptized soon.
Tuesday we had interviews with our misison president, our mission president is a great man, but he scared me at first because he started with "Elder Jensen, I read your letter to me and it seems like you dont have a care in the world....about anything that would stop you from getting the work done and finding joy!".
We got back on bikes since Tuesday too since it got warmer and thats been fun. At one point Elder Parker got 2 flats but oh well. Had a good disscussion and dinner with the member that can read Auoras, we talked about many deeper doctrine stuff concerning the Savior, his coming, and Spiritual gifts that are given to us Human Beings on earth.
A big theme this week has been Faith or Fear, those 2 have come up every single day in one form or another this week. Matthew 19:26 also came up about 3-4 days in a row since last Sunday. Coincoidence? Not a chance. I showe Elder Parker how to do family history research and work which was fun.
We had an amazing lesson with a girl we teach who will be getting baptized in March, shes been able to read lots of the Book of Mormon. We had a great lesson with another Pentecostal man about the Book of Mormon that me and Elder Shultis had met in November. Saturday we also went to a scheduled lesson but the Knights of Columbus beat us there and wanted to bash haha, so we skidaddled out of there because we have bette rthings to do then try and argue. Christ never bashed so theres no reason for us to.
We got to visit the Baptist church yesterday too when we had some free time which was fun, it was my second time there so everyone remembered me which was great. I also know lots of the congregation from talking to them on the street or when people are out walking.
Well this week was a blast, especially with my boy Elder Parker. Keep it real out there everyone, pray to know our Heavenly Father more, some advice we heard this week is too make our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost our closest friends. As we do this we will progress more and more. Love all of you!
