Weekly email from your favorite Missionary

This week was good! We stayed pretty productive and had a good time 

Tuesday: did some spring cleaning and got our place nice looking for our house inspections. We were talking to people on the street and this one guy talked to us for a good 10 seconds then he said "sorry guys gotta go" and he started walking away, we looked back a bit later and he disappeared. 

Wednesday: had inspections, we filed papers at the food bank, passed out food at the food bank. We always gey hooked up with food from there which is really nice. Then we helped a lady move stuff to a DI. A random chiropractor we met gave me a back adjustment which was nice. We visited people that night with some members in a trailer park and one guy came up to us and at first he looked like he was going to fight, but then he told us how he wanted to meet with us. 

Thursday: planned for the week. Elder Morgan interviewed a japanese man for baptism while i hung out with some other missionaries. Then a member drove us to Mongolian BBQ which was super good. Then we had our Book of Mormon study class. 

Friday: had our meeting with other missionaries. We walked around and tried lots of people. That night we had a great lesson with a couple about temples and we watched a video about the Rome temple. The spirit was super strong. 

Saturday: we visited a family who fed us pancakes and turkey sandwiches and eggs. It was a really good mix. Then we went back to my last area for a baptism of a lady i was able to teach for 6 months, it was the best experience of the week and it was long awaited. A family that night also let me try their "sudden death" hot sauce. It was pretty good. Then we taught a girl a lesson that night.

Sunday: had a great sunday, a speaker talked about unconditional love a lot which was really cool, its amazing what happens when we at least do our best to love everyone, no matter what they have done to us. 

Well it was a great week. Im definitely living the life out here with my free food bank food and being able to serve the people of Boise every single day. The joy thats felt as we help people closer to our savior is indescribable. Heres a good scripture from Luke 15:

6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

So there you have it, as we make steps in Repentance we will be blessed! Whether big or small, all of us are always able to improve and be the best version of ourselves. Tha ks for all the support, love, and emails!

9/2: we played sports with a bunch of other missionaries. A member of the church from Mountain Home got us dinner at Tucanos which was great 9/3: Elder Nelson woke up sick. A member called and told us how we had "P day then Poo day". Since I didnt want to sit around all day me and one of the missionaries that lives with us went out. We had a good study/talk about how our heart needs to be in the right place as we follow Christ. It's useless just going through the motions. We volunteered at the Idaho Youth Ranch, then gave a lady a blessing.  9/4: Nothing crazy, just studied in the bible with one man we're teaching 9/5: After studying we got into our minivan and Elder Nelson tried turning the key and it wouldn't turn in the ignition. Great week this week! Nothing too crazy happened this week, transfer calls (when we have the possibility of being moved to different areas) happens tomorrow which is exciting, hopefully I stay in my area because the people here are awesome Monday-We got together as a district and me and Elder Thompson made a sweet mini golf course, then we visited a man who was amazed we showed up because he needed someone to give his mother a blessing which was awesome Tuesday-Taught a family that morning about being children of our heavenly father, met Joseph Smiths little brother's  (William Smith)  descendant  which was interesting, helped out a man move furniture, then we made more visits Wednesday-Helped out a guy take down his wooden fence, then we helped a family move a huge mattress and bed pieces, had a few appointments fall through Thursday-Did service at the idaho youth ranch then we were driving around with a member and he randomly said "I have to poop...reall...

One transfer (6 weeks) down! Busy in Boise!

Been a great week this week, got tons of stuff done as always.  Monday  we played volleyball and some chair soccer with our district.  Tuesday  me and Elder Thompson started off the day with some studies at the church.  We felt prompted to bring 2 book of mormons with us to the church building. We brought them and while we studied 3 refugees from Kenya came up to the door, they needed directions and we helped them then we taught them about the book of mormon and they wanted not one book, but two.  Later that day we were making visits and we spotted a wiener dog running around. Work was going slow so we decided to follow it. As we were following the dog we thought of a boy we could go visit. A mile later this dog ran to the door of the boys house we were gonna go in.
