Apostle Elder Redlund, dog treats, and a baptism!

Its been a awesome week!

First off a man me and Elder Thompson, and now me and Elder Morris have been able to teach was baptized and given the Aronic Priesthood. It was super amazing and man was he so happy. His whole family was thrilled and the spirit was felt strongly. It was our first baptism we had ever coordinated but it went good and had lots of people there.

We talked to a man who was in shock because his mother passed and we gave her a blessing only a week before she went to the other side. He assumed we knew she was about to die because of some things said in the blessing we were able to provide (god really tells us what to say so we rarely remember what we actually said) He was very speechless because this elderly women on the day before she passed, bathed herself, clothed herself (she was not able to do this for a long time) and walked around like she was a lot younger, then passed away in his arms. We bore our testimonies to him and sang hymns with him, he slowly but surely calmed down and god was able to help him out.

We found a few more people to teach either this week or in the future which is always joyful.

On friday an Apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ named Elder Redlund and 3 of the quorum of the Seventy were also able to come and we were privileged to hear from all 4 of them. They talked about their process of assigning missionaries places to serve and how very very real that is.

The whole mission got together so i was able to see my MTC companion Elder Nelson, my other companion Elder Thompson, and an Elder I know from Red Mountain High, and an Elder Baker who is actually my 2nd cousin whom I havent seen in maybe a decade or so. So it was a great day! Elder Morris also tried eating a dog treat on the way home and we all watched it come back out of him haha. He is a goofy man, but he is pretty awesome.

Taught 10 iraqi people at their "tea party" and they loved hearing about the Book of Mormon it was sweet.

On splits (when we split up and go with church members) we visited 2 members and they actually do not like the church at all and were trying to bash. It was interesting and they said things like "You dont have to be baptized to be saved" "you dont need all those extra rules you guys have" and so on. It was interesting because they told us we can only find the truth in the bible (we belive in the bible) and they told us things that contradicted the bible haha.

We visited lots of different families and people this week which was great and its always so joyful to be helping others 24/7 whether or no they accept our service or the message we share.

Keep doing amazing things everyone, talk to our Heavenly Father when you are in need!

Love all of you, keep it real, adios
