Mission Tour! - June 4
Great week this week, like always. Last week on Wednesday we did lots of book work but got it all finished up.
Thursday we had a mission tour which is when one of the 70 (people chosen by apostles to help with the lords work) it was Elder Brian K. Taylor and he has taught us lots. Since Im the newest missionary on the Boise side of Idaho, Elder Brian K. Taylor liked to use me as an example of things.
That night we gave one of our investigators a priesthood blessing, which is always a great experience. Amazing how real priesthood power is.
Friday we did some service and helped out lots of african refugees with donations. Then that day we got another lady we teach on date for baptism which is sweet, taught another lady that night about having enough faith in christ to be able to quit smoking, the holy ghost was felt very strongly.
Saturday we had a church member drive us out to Red Robin which was a blessing, Then we made lots of visits and got a little sunburned. We visited one church member who is a vietnam vet and has heart problems, he almost fell on me when we walked in.
Yesterday was great, went to church, talked to lots of people. Elder Thompson had me lead us around more on Saturday so we got lost plenty of times but Im learning the directions more.
Its been awesome talking to and seeing so many different walks of life every day. Boise is pretty diverse and is growing fast.
One cool thing I found out a few days ago is in John Christ mentions his "other sheep" in John 10:16. The other sheep Christ refers to is other groups of people in different places such as the Nephites who are the great great ancestors of the Native americans. Christ visits the nephites in the americas and says "And verily I say unto you, that ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd" (3rd Nephi 15;21). Thats something I have never noticed before, pretty sweet.
Anyways it has been great, nothing too wild this week, always a great time out here serving the lord and the people of Boise! God bless all of you!

Another great week as a missionary! - June 18
Had a good ol time this week, did lots of service and helping out people. We have been finding numerous people to teach lately too and have lots to do, like always.
Tuesday me and another elder (Elder Thompson had a meeting) helped out our boy Big Red with some landscape work in his backyard. He thanked us a bunch and he gave us his bench press which was a blessing, haven't benched since the MTC.
Wednesday we had a good district meeting, I was able to provide priesthood blessings twice Wednesday which was awesome, the spirit or holy ghost speaks right through you during those. Powerful stuff. Had a good homemade pizza with our zone leaders too.
Thursday we went to the Idaho youth ranch warehouse and sorted shoes for them, then we helped out this one guy dig holes for his fence, then we taught some more families and investigators. An investigator told us a story how she had gotten surgery and that night in the hospital she rolled off her hospital bed because they forgot to put the railings up. She painlessly died and watched the doctors bring her to life from out of her mortal body.
Friday we helped out the refugee center we go to and built shelves for them. After more teaching we went to help out some investigators move furniture. They were too elderly to move them let alone get out of their wheelchairs. so we started moving stuff and we carried a huge and very heavy couch from the uhaul into there house. They said we were a blessing and we were really strong because it took 3 grown men to put the couch into the uhaul. Good thing we got them big arms haha. Then we went and saw a baptism in our district.
Saturday we didn't have too much luck finding people starting out but as we biked to one mans house, this lady in her front yard was trimming her tree and i asked if she needed help. She said yes and was happy because she prayed for a tall man to come help her, so she was very thankful. Had dinner with a family that has a pet goat that lives in there backyard and watches you eat dinner haha. We were teaching this family after we ate and the lady we were teaching said "ive been having this recurring vision/dream where im walking to this tree and i hold on to this rope or rod thing, i dont know what it means but i think it means i need to read the book of mormon more or something" me and Elder Thompson were very surprised because thats a vision the prophet Lehi has in 1 Nephi chapter 8. I said "wait are you serious? Youre not kidding?" and she was serious. So that was pretty cool. Then we visited a less active church member. She had gone through lots of loss in her life, but she shared an experience with us. She was getting married in the temple and during this her passed away grandmother and mother came and sat by her and congratulated her on the steps she was making.
Sunday/yesterday we were almost late to a important meeting but we made it barely. Picked up an investigator so he could get to church, he also has a baptism this saturday! woohoo! After being busy and seeing lots of people at church we fixed up Elder Thompsons bike at a members house. We had heard he had been to heaven and back so we asked him about it. He told us descriptively what he had seen and you could tell there was much he was told not to share. Simply put he had a heart failure and went into cardiac arrest. He remembered everything from his life prior to being on earth, and his entire mortal life. He met up with people who had long passed away, including his gaurdian angels. He had other sacred/personal exdperiences he shared. He shared everything in the same tone that someone would explain something that hasreally happened in their life, what he shared was very very real. He wanted us to know that it is very important we learn how to forgive others and ourselves. He also made it clear that our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are 3 different beings and Christs love and mercy is very real.
I think there was a pattern this past week. There is a definite life after this one, and we as spirits have been alive long before this life. This is one of the many reasons I am here serving a mission. We all experience loss of a loved one at one point or another, but we will all see eachother again, its just a matter of patience. A little over a year ago I was sure this stuff was baloney. But now I can truly say I am all the more certain that God lives.
I leave my testimony, or my beliefs with all of you this week that Christ is alive, God is alive, and that man oh man the holy ghost is real, I feel the holy ghost every single day out here. In the name of our savior, Jesus Christ, amen. God bless all of you great people on this email, heres some pictures:

Busy busy busy - June 25
June 18-25
This past week was great.
Had a zone conference Tuesday and learned lots from our mission president, taught our investigator Chris and then taught 2 new investigators,
Wednesday we had exchanges and me and Elder Bastian biked well over 10 miles or so that day. We made dozens of visits to lots of people, picked up another investigator. We fixed a door for an elderly man who couldnt open it and it was falling off, Elder Thompsons bike pedal fell off again so Elder Bastian tied his shoelaces to the one pedal so we could get to dinner.
Thursday we planned for our week, did service for the idaho youth ranch, taught another investigator, and set more appointments with some other investigators. An invetigator told us about how her daughter was born with gunk in her lungs and had a hard time breathing. Her bishop gave her daughter a blessing and in a day her lungs were perfectly clean and the doctors couldnt explain it. On the way back home Elder Thompsons bike pedal bolt fell off into some grass. We had to get there before 9 and we had like 5 minutes. So we prayed to find it and few minutes later we find this small bolt out of all this grass.
Friday we did more service and made donation kits. Then we helped a guy move a dryer and washer, the church member that has been to heaven and back told us about how god has quite the sense of humor and that theres lots of choirs in heaven. Taught 2 more investigators that night.
Saturday we baptized our boy Chris, he was very happy and he told us how he felt like he could fly and walk ion air because he felt so good after being baptized. Found another investiagtor, taught a new investigator at asenior living home.
Yesterday we confirmed Chris the gift of the Holy Ghost, my first time ever confirming someone, very cool experience. We got fed tons of mexican food by a family last night it was amazing, Then after that we did some bible deliveries and prayed with a kid looking for his lost dog. Good stuff!
Missionary work is the best. very joyful. Also on friday our dishwasher spewed out lots of soap haha, we put like 3 drops of soap in and that stuff went everywhere. Love you all, god bless!
