Week 8!

Image
Just another week up here in Boise! Been extremely busy,  Thursday  was nuts.  So we got out of our morning lesson and elder Thompsons bike tire was flat for the 2 billionth time so we started walking and we had to do service 45 minutes away  in 30 minutes . We prayed for help and not even 10 minutes passed and a church member picked us up, replaced the bike tube, and got us to our service.  After our service we went on to do a bunch more stuff, we were so busy we only spent 30 minutes of our day that day eating. And while we ate we studied. Then it topped off with a great lesson with a investigator. Then we needed our mission president to call us that night before 1030 to give us word on some things we needed. So we prayed he would be prompted to call us,  10 minutes later  he called. Such great blessings, god hears us all for sure.  Been doing lots of bookwork lately too, which isnt too fun but its necessary. Last week we visited the BSU...

Week 7, first baptism! Free bike!

Hey everyone, have had a great week.  To start off I went to my first baptism here in Boise of our little man and Investigator. Hes a great 9 year old boy who was able to decide to be baptized. The holy ghost was felt very strongly.  The next day the bike I have been borrowing from a family decided to let me have it, I offered them money but they knew I couldnt afford how much it was worth. The church members are very nice and helpful out here.  We did plenty of service this week at a thrift store warehouse, a refugee donation company and shoveled dirt for the one and only Big Reds new pool.  We had plenty of lessons this week and we are planning to have another baptism  this saturday  too. Then another baptism possibly in a few weeks. Very busy out here!  Rained a few times while we were walking/biking and got our white shirts messy but its all good.  We have been teaching a lady thats a little slower and she thought in the new testam...

2nd week as greenie

This week has been pretty sweet, we got our bikes fixed up then Elder Thompsons bike tire tube went flat after about 2 days of riding so we were back to walking. We got 2 baptisms coming up this month which is awesome. Our investigators all showed up to church which makes us happy.I got to bear my testimony in both my wards which was fun. Had my first district meeting wednesday. Were now getting fed dinner nearly every night by members now. We got exchanges later this week which will be fun (when missionaries swap companions for a day). Me and Elder Thompson stay super busy every day which is wonderful. Thats about it, nothing too crazy happened this week, just busy and joyful out here in Boise Central. Love you all, and god bless! --  From Elder Jensen
