Elder TJ Jensen - Idaho Boise Mission - Gracious Savior Representative

Well it was a great week this week.  Today were gonna go to the temple which should be great.  Heres the highlights of the week: *had a water balloon fight for our activity with other missionaries on Monday *started teaching a ladys granddaughter, she loved learning the 10 commandments *helped out at the food bank, it was only us and one other person so we kept busy *heard a good quote: "we are spiritual beings having a human experience" *we were meeting with our columbian friend and we were scheduling a time to come back and we told him we could meet monday (memorial day) and he was like "you work for Jesus Christ on mondays?" Haha *Sunday the family we ate with had Ghost pepper flakes so I had some of that. Ive realized I love spicy foods but my stomach doesn't So it was a great week, had lots of appointments fall through but its a part of the Lords work. It was a good week, we kept busy. Elder Manapt has been here for 1.5 weeks and hes already seen the entire area and we've seen many people.  Gave a Book of Mormon in French to our refugee friend. A lady we are working with has been progressing well and wants us to teach and baptize her daughter when shes ready.  We talked to an older lady who has memory problems and she told us 3 times in 20 minutes that in Revelation it says that none shall add unto this book. We told her how John didn't even have the whole Bible with him at that point, so hes talking about his prophecy. She also got baptized a year ago but forgets about it.  We had a good District Council Friday morning about obedience (not always my strong suit) which was good. We taught another catholic lady who we realized also has memory problems.  A missionary I trained last year came to visit me and we ate lunch with his family. A great week this week, full of adventures.  Monday went on a hike with other missionaries, that evening we taught an older lady about the Gospel of Christ.  Tuesday we helped out at a library and moved books and boxes. Then we helped some members start digging a 5 foot hole because of a sprinkler leak.  Wednesday we got our transfer calls and Im staying in Boise and Elder Morgan left to Twin Falls on thursday. We had a good visit with a lady and encouraged her to keep her faith even though she is having many trials.  Thursday a member took us in a school bus to transfers, sadly i saw many of my companions and fellow missionaries leave to Twin Falls and they are now in the Pocatello mission, then i got to drive some other missionaries around to eat lunch and to teach people at different appointments and to give out some Book of Mormons. Had a great week this week. This week is transfers and we find out which mission we go to because of the mission merge, so that will be interesting.  Monday we had a cake war with some other missionaries, then once we were covered in cake some members pulled up and asked for a blessing. We gave him a blessing and God healed him that night. Then that evening we talked with a lady coming back to church.  Tuesday we had a good lesson with a lady about the Gospel Christ has given us.  Wednesday we helped at the food bank, then we had an appointment with a lady from a bible college that wanted to learn more, so we answered questions and talked about Christ. Then our Landlords cat went missing so we searched around a bit and eventually she came back.  Thursday we planned, had our housing inspections, then we helped a lady move some couches, then we went to a library and helped them cut and move boxes.
